A Big Year for Business Class

2027 is shaping up to be the most significant year for premium cabin travel in recent memory. Three major airlines are launching what will be the best new business class products of 2027, and one of them is a US carrier bringing its best-ever suite to a long-haul fleet for the first time.

So, if you’re planning a long-haul trip in 2027 or beyond, then you may be interested in these novelties. The cabins below are a genuine step forward in comfort, privacy, and technology. Some are already available for booking. Others open for sale in early 2027. All of them are worth knowing about before you choose which cabin to fly in.

Which are the best new business class seats in 2027? Here’s the full breakdown.

1. Delta One on the Airbus A350-1000 (US)

Best New Business Class Seats: Delta One Business Class

To begin, let’s cover the headline for American travelers. Delta is receiving its first Airbus A350-1000 in early 2027, and it is the most premium aircraft the airline has ever operated.

The new Delta One suite is built on the Thompson Aero VantageNOVA platform, Delta’s first all-new business class seat in years. Every suite sits in a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout with direct aisle access. Every seat has a sliding privacy door. The flat bed stretches to 80 inches, roughly three inches longer than the current Delta One product. A pillow-top cushion sits over memory foam padding.

The entertainment screen measures 24 inches in 4K OLED, the largest on any US carrier. Each suite includes wireless charging, Bluetooth audio, USB-C, and a dedicated shoe cubby. A self-service snack station sits near the second set of doors for passengers who want a bite without waiting for service.

Delta plans to configure roughly 50 business class suites on each aircraft, making it the most premium-heavy plane in the Delta fleet. Around half of all seats on board will be premium.

Where will it fly from the US?

Delta is targeting Atlanta, Los Angeles, and potentially New York JFK for the first routes. Expected destinations include Seoul, Amsterdam, Paris, Delhi, and Singapore, which are all premium-heavy, long-haul markets where this cabin makes the most sense.

Why it matters: Delta has offered business class suites with doors since 2017 — earlier than any other US carrier. The A350-1000 takes that lead further. For travelers departing Atlanta or LA on long-haul routes to Asia or Europe, this will be the best Delta One product ever flown.

2. Singapore Airlines New Business Class and First Class on the A350 (US Routes Included)

Singapore Airlines is investing S$1.1 billion (roughly $835 million) to retrofit all 41 of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft with entirely new cabin products. The first retrofitted aircraft enters service in the first quarter of 2027.

All in all, this is one of the most important cabin launches in years. Singapore Airlines’ current long-haul business class seat dates back to 2013. It lacks sliding doors, wireless charging, Bluetooth audio, and the suite-style privacy that competitors now offer as standard. The new product addresses all of that from the ground up.

The airline has not yet revealed full specifications. A formal reveal is expected later in 2026, but what we know already is significant:

  • Completely new business class seat with sliding privacy door
  • Larger entertainment screens with the next-generation KrisWorld system
  • Starlink-powered Wi-Fi from day one on retrofitted aircraft
  • New soft furnishings, dining, and amenities throughout

The bigger story is on the A350-900ULR, the ultra-long-range variant that flies Singapore’s longest routes. These aircraft will gain First Class for the very first time. Currently, the Singapore–New York and Singapore–Los Angeles routes only have business class and premium economy. From 2027, four fully enclosed First Class suites will be added to each ULR aircraft. Teaser images suggest a wide armchair-to-flat-bed conversion with shutter doors finished in copper-toned Peranakan-inspired design.

Why it matters for US travelers

Singapore Airlines flies nonstop from New York JFK and Los Angeles to Singapore, two of the world’s longest commercial routes. The new First Class will debut on exactly these aircraft. If you fly Singapore Airlines to Asia, 2027 is the year the product becomes genuinely world-class across the entire cabin.

One caveat: supply chain delays have already pushed this launch back once. The ULR retrofit may slip to Q2 2027 or later. Watch for Singapore Airlines’ formal product reveal in late 2026.

3. ANA The Room FX on the Boeing 787-9

ANA’s The Room business-class product is already one of the most acclaimed in the sky. The Room FX is the next generation — now coming to the airline’s Boeing 787-9 fleet, bringing this product to routes from Tokyo to the US and Europe for the first time.

The Room FX is built on the Safran Fusio seat platform. Each suite features 48 suites across the cabin, a flat bed extending to 76.5 inches, wireless charging, USB-C, and a refreshed design. The bed length increase is meaningful — the original Room’s 72-inch bed was a frequent criticism among taller passengers. That problem is solved.

ANA flies nonstop from Tokyo to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Houston, and Seattle. The 787-9 with The Room FX is rolling out across these routes progressively through 2026 and into 2027.

What About the Airlines Already Covered?

Several major new products were launched in 2026 and are now flyable. Before booking any long-haul business class trip, check our recent coverage:

When to Book

The window between announcement and launch matters. Airlines often release promotional fares when a new product goes on sale, and the early months of a new cabin tend to see better availability before demand catches up with supply.

For Delta’s A350-1000, watch for route announcements in late 2026. For Singapore Airlines, the formal product reveal is expected before the end of 2026, with sale dates to follow. Qatar’s 777-9 timeline depends on Boeing delivery schedules, which remain subject to change.

Skylux knows all of these launches. When new fares go on sale, we get access to fares that don’t appear on mainstream booking sites, often at significant discounts from officially published prices. You can call us 24/7 at 888-999-5524 and ask about any business class or first class flights.
