United, currently operating four Polaris lounges across the U.S., launched their fifth premium lounge in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Starting January 12, 2019, United Polaris Business and First Class flyers will be able to experience the top airport product before departing on long-haul international flights. New Lounge Experience

The new United Polaris Business class lounge is located in Terminal 7 between gates 73 and 75A. United says that its new lounge embraces the energy and culture of sunny Southern California with its famous LAX-based artists, cuisine, and culture. The lounge has a large surface area of 12,000 sq. ft., enough to serve 140 passengers. The design features swathes of Carrera marble, with grey tones and a wooden parquet floor. Sectioned into zones the lounge is fitted with dining, relaxing, and working areas. And there are no less than 272 power outlets and 120 USB ports placed in strategic locations.

Rejuvenate

Shower suites feature rainfall showers and Soho House & Co’s Cowshed Spa products, which are available for premium passengers. There is also an on-site washing machine and other useful amenities (e.g. curling irons, hair straighteners, shower caps).

The menus that have been developed by Chef Trita Gestuvo will tantalize your taste buds, with almond-crusted fish and chips, chilaquiles, Korean bulgogi arancini, freshly crafted sandwiches on La Brea Bakery bread, street tacos, and house-made cinnamon churros. The snack menu also includes offerings for those who prefer lighter meal options, such as healthy hash – roasted fingerling potatoes, sautéed baby kale, bacon, romesco sauce, or power green smoothie bowl – made from fresh kale, pineapple, and apple smoothie with coconut-banana granola.

Above all, cocktails in Los Angeles deserve the most awards, and United has brought all the city’s secret recipes to the lounge zones bars.
